OUR VALUES, OUR ENGAGEMENTS!

We have embarked on an ecological approach aimed at reducing waste and consuming differently. Changing our habits and modes of transport helps limit our daily impact on the environment.

This year, the estate has begun the process of obtaining the European Ecolabel. We have installed beehives, solar panels, and a heat pump to produce cleaner energy and reduce our consumption. We are also hosting a compensatory measure project for the Cuxac d’Aude wind farm, aimed at creating a biodiversity-rich meadow.

We wish you welcome in our haven of peace!

ECO-RESPONSABLE TURISM

Follow us towards eco-responsibility with a few simple habits (sorting your waste, reducing water and electricity consumption, and choosing local and organic products).

Adopt slow tourism (hiking, cycling, water activities).

For getting around:

– Carpooling: www.ecov.fr and www.blablacar.fr
– Bus to Marcorignan: www.citibus.fr (line 9)
– Cycling: as an Accueil Vélo certified site, we offer secure bike storage, a repair kit, and route recommendations.

Electric bikes can be rented on the estate or from: www.languedoc-vtt-evasion.com or www.bigupcycling.com

HUPPETTES EN FÊTE – AN ECOLOGICAL FESTIVAL
From June 6 to 7, 2026, we will welcome this festival at the Château de la Motte to highlight local ecological initiatives and to reflect on and practice civic engagement for the transformation of our region.

We are co-organizing this project with the association Le Collectif Bleu Occitanie, which helps people find their place in collective environmental action while caring for their mental well-being.

Huppettes en fête is a festival project centered around ecology. The festival will showcase local initiatives and actors committed to ecology, offering a program (workshops and conferences).

The programming will be designed to foster collective reflection on climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss, with a focus on the specific challenges of the Narbonne area (drought, soil salinization, viticulture, etc.). These environmental themes will be linked with the region’s social issues, such as poverty and precarity. Beyond theory, we aim to provide as many practical tools as possible to empower citizens.

We aim to create an enriching experience with festive events (concerts, theatre performances) and collective gatherings (morning meetups, shared meals, workshops encouraging connection). The festival is designed to be financially inclusive.
